The latest licensed version of OpenTextTM speed upTM It’s out! This version includes some great additions, including support for Opus 2TM cloud, document translation for Amazon Translate licensed customersTM, decryption during ingestion, undo for bulk tagging, and much more. Let’s take a closer look.
New features for Axcelerate review and analysis
Document production and mass printing. Both features now allow users to select various landscape options.
visualizer. Now includes the ability to export any of the charts within the viewer to an image format and its corresponding data to a CSV format.
World newsroom. Now includes an option to exclude terms. By checking the Exclude terms box, a new section will appear where you can enter the exclusion terms.
Newsrooms. Redaction motifs and/or colors associated with redaction can now be changed on subsets of records. This option can be found under Manage Newsrooms in the Actions menu within the Analysis page.
Once the Change Redactions option opens, a pop-up will appear with the options available for the selected records.
Opus 2. Axcelerate now supports direct transfer of production records to the Opus 2 cloud. Once Opus 2 has been configured to connect with Axcelerate, case managers can move production records within Axcelerate via the Actions menu within the Analysis page.
A pop-up window will then appear with options for this job where the case manager can select metadata and production results.
Documents submitted to Opus 2 can be identified through the Submitted to Opus 2 smart filter in Work Product.
Magallanes Business Intelligence. Now includes a Data Progress Report that provides a filterable report on all data sets by custodian with details on number and size of documents.
Business Intelligence now also supports sharing custom dashboards.
Translator machine. Axcelerate now has the ability to generate machine translations for customers with Amazon Translate licenses (translations via Veritone are also available). Once Amazon Translate has been configured, case managers can enable it for their projects and select a target language for the translation. Consult your OpenText program administrator for details.
RegEx pattern search. This feature now allows users to define pattern searches in the recipient fields as well as in the Title field.
New features to speed up intake/ECA
Decoded. 7-zip, Office, and PDF files can now be decrypted during ingestion when a list of potential passwords is provided within the data source configuration node.
Encase Parser. Now supports chat data from MS Teams and Slack.
MS Equipment Analyzer. Now supports export of channel names, compositions, message edit dates, message deletion, and Urgent and Important flags.
MS equipment connector. Now supports:
- the inclusion/exclusion of all channels of a Team leaving the channel value empty. A row with a channel name replaces a row without a channel name; and
- extract meeting details (start time, end time, duration, initiator).
Outlook Connector for Mac. Now supports versions of Outlook 2016 and 2019.
MS Sharepoint connector. Now supports recycle bin item metadata indexing.
New admin features
LOC. OpenText MindServer AdministratorTM now allows you to change the language group that OpenText Capture will useTM. This allows the character sets used for OCR to be changed to accommodate data sets in multiple languages.
PostgresSQL. The previous version has been updated to version 14 with backport available for 22.4.
Undo tagging operations. Administrators can now use a command line (undo.bat) to undo bulk or individual tag operations. This operation is tracked in both the smart job processing filter and the document history detail.
Did you know… Axcelerate has made substantial performance improvements over the past few years? See below for more details:
|speed up 20.2
|Index engines upgraded to handle 50 million records per engine – 5x increase from the original limit!
Efficiencies in WordMap to improve indexing, searchability, and search retrieval
|speed up 20.4
|Improved PST file handling for faster handling with fewer exceptions Updated Index Engine partitions to process concurrently for faster processing and eliminating the need for additional Java heap size
|speed up 21.2
|New memory manager created to protect against OOM query processing Duplicate hash computation moved to index engine Both searches and Search Query Editor reports in Ingestion run as jobs and can be submitted for background generation
|Distributed worker hosts can be configured on a single engine to improve handling of larger ingestion jobs Additional efficiencies for WordMap to improve indexing, recordability, and search retrieval
|speed up 22.4
|Improved memory handling to avoid OOM issues during near-duplicate detection
|speed up 23.2
|Near-duplicate detection is now computed multi-threaded. Ingestion performance was improved by: increasing index threads from 12 to 32 by using distributed indexing, enabling index redistribution across partition via command line (reindexdocuments.bat).
more to come
Our next release will be out later this year and planned new features include sampling in Axcelerate InvestigationTMIndependent research and review and analysis applications, document comparison, and audio/video support with transcripts.
